Claris FileMaker 2023 delivers powerful new tools

Claris has launched the latest version of the FileMaker platform and introduced important new tools that enable digital transformation and position it as one of the leading rapid development platforms.

Launched in April 2023, this is the version that follows FileMaker 19, but it’s not called FileMaker 20. Instead Claris has a new naming convention, along with a new logo, to highlight its ambitions for the powerful platform and to signal that it is ready for a new era. The latest version is called Claris FileMaker 2023.  

A platform made for digital transformation 

The new version puts digital transformation front and centre, at a time when improving client and customer experience has never been more important. 3 key new features 

The new Claris FileMaker 2023 adds even more powerful tools to the Claris toolbox. Key benefits include greater scalability, improved security and a nifty callback script that our development team are raving about because of the extra speed it gives a system.

• For larger businesses, scalability is key, so allowing greater numbers of simultaneous Claris FileMaker WebDirect users without compromising performance is really good news.
• Cyber security is a serious challenge and something we take extremely seriously, and continuous improvements are essential. FileMaker 2023 is rigorously protected with the latest security protocols, which will make your business system safer and more stable. This includes a more secure encryption method for transferring data, an update to end-to-end encryption and Active Directory support for Ubuntu, enabling centralised user management when running a Ubuntu server. 
• The new Perform Script on Server with Callback feature will improve your user experience and increase productivity. This performs a specified script on the server hosting the current file, while another action can be automatically triggered locally on a user’s machine. This means that a user can initiate big processes and continue with their work while the server does the hard work behind the scenes without affecting or slowing down the user’s machine. Great news for busy businesses.
